Dear Do Do, thank you for making this a blog-ality... I have always admired your abliity to take the things we talk about and actually make them happen! Incidentally, do you know that I went to Playa last Spring? Dan and I went to the Hotel Basico, and did Tulum and everything. We rented a car (well, a PT Cruiser, actually) and promptly parked it on the street in Playa and learned why you should always get insurance on Mexican rental cars! hope you had a lovely time!
I wanted to give some big love to Kate, Megs and Fish to help them get through the rest of these busy days... and even though Patty isn't there every day, she still gets to deal with some neeeeeedy people, too. As for me? I deal by coming home to Miller Lites, The Office on DVD and gifts to wrap, I'm fine.
While I can't make it out on Thursday for dinner, I will be done with work at 2ish, and god help any of you who might still be out because I would really love love to see you .
Kisses, love to all xoxo

Playa Del Carmen...a.k.a. Love

Me and My First Love....
So, as some of you may know I have a knack to lose every and anything. In fact, I was told by Patricia once to start counting everything that is on me when I leave the house and make sure I have that same number when I return. I tried it, but as I learned, I am not only bad at keeping all my possessions I am also extremely bad at Math. Anyways, so I spent last week in Playa Del Carmen, Mexico and I revisited my first love...The Beach. I have yet to find another that satisfies and excites me like The Beach. As you can see, I have inserted myself for you guys to get a real sense of where I was and what I was doing. Yes folks, I drank, ate, and sun-bathed myself silly. I never knew how much I would enjoy the All Inclusive Package Deal. In fact, I have a hard time thinking that on other trips I may have to pay for my meals or my drinks. The most memorable moment was when I, drunk on Champaigne at 1:00 pm, decided to play bartender at this little tikki hut bar thing. There was no one there bartending so I jumped back there and started making drinks. 6 Daquiris, 4 margaritas, and no compliments later I found out that I forgot to put the rum and tequila in anyones drinks....No wonder I didn't get tipped :)
Moral of the story is...mexico: good. beach:good. inclusive: good. liquor:good. math:BAD.

Scarlet's Stanton Social

Hello Dear Sisters:
As some of you may know, or maybe not know, our sister Scarlet will be in town for the Holidays. She has made a request that we eat at the Stanton Social....mmmmm....Kobe Sliders. Can't beat that. Anyways, we will be there on the evening of the 21st of December. I know some of you have mentioned having to work. UGH! but perhaps a drink afterwards. I have taken that Friday off work and will be flying back to Chi-town for a week. Anyways, I think right now Patricia and I are both in for dinner, so anyone else who may be interested can just let one of us know. Hope everyone is having a good week. YIPPEEEE it's Friday....

Doris Lee

Doris "Pei-Ling" Lee, other wise known as Sister Strength.

Year One: I started off as sister skylark because I liked the idea of flying high with this group and within myself. I thought of the skylark as a graceful creature who reached for the sky and although I am still in mid-air most of the time I like that I am at least a few inches higher above ground than I was 2 years ago.

Year Two: From there I became sister secretary. My initial reasoning was to be the one to tie the sisterhood together and keep us focused, connected and together; to ensure that stayed strong in our committment and dedication to ourselves and each other. However, it soon became clear that sister secretary was much better at writing e-mails and being the bearer of sister news.

Year Three: Thanks to Patricia, who hosted, yet another, great renewal meeting, we all got to choose our names for this upcoming year. I have decided with sister strength, because I would like to take this year and really work on some of my weaknesses and make them into strengths. For example, rather than being too proud sometimes, I would like to see strength in compromise and even caving in. I also find myself liking to complain a lot and changing that negative thought into being strong enough to find positive in every situation...etc...etc...

Please feel free to write whatever you would like about yourself. It does not have to do with your sister name AT ALL. My creative juices are at a lull right now.

The Divine Postings of the New York Sisterhood

My darling sisters. Our first post. I am hoping this blog allows us to share thoughts, ideas, stories, loves, books, accomplishments, advice, jokes and all the things that makes life more interesting with each other. I hope this blog also shortens the physical distance between sisters and allows us all a place to feel connected and involved with each others lives. Please feel free to use and abuse this site as much and as little as you need.
But before you get started and go post-crazy. For your first blog, I urge you to put up a picture of yourself and write a little something. This way, all the sisters will have any idea of all the other sisters, because a few of us have not met yet.
